The whole family flew in at once.
Professional baseball’s NC ace Eric Peddie (30) will play a more meaningful all-star game than anyone else. Selected for the Nanum All-Star as a manager’s recommendation, Pedi participated in the 2023 Shinhan Bank SOL KBO All-Star Game at Sajik Baseball Stadium in Busan on the 15th and enjoyed the ‘Festival of Stars’ with his teammates.
Pedi was joined by some of his favourite guests. His parents, brother, sister, and grandmother. Even his brother’s girlfriend made the flight. His mother, Carla Peddie, siblings Kevin Peddie and McKayla Peddie arrived on the third, and his father, Scott Peddie, and grandmother, Dorothy Peddie, arrived on the ninth. Prior to the All-Star Game, they watched Pedi pitch against Gochuk Kiwoom on the 5th and Changwon Lotte on the 12th.
메이저놀이터They then arrived in Busan, where Pedi is playing his first All-Star Game, and entered the stadium together wearing cute T-shirts printed with their respective name tags, including “Pedi Dad” and “Pedi Mom. An NC official said, “Han Dong-hee, Pedi’s manager, made the T-shirts at her own expense. It was made possible by building a special friendship with Pedi outside of baseball,” the official said, explaining the background behind the t-shirt.
Dorothy, Pedi’s grandmother, said, “I’m so happy to be here in Korea to see my grandson, it’s such a fun and happy moment.” “I’m going to be really nervous when he takes the mound, but if he throws well, I’m going to be so happy,” said his father, Scott.
They also talked about the “Korea” they are experiencing as they travel around the country. “Korea itself is so neat,” says Pedi’s mum Carla. Namsan Tower and Lotte Tower were impressive, and Kevin especially loved Lotte World.”
“I can feel the people of Changwon love him so much, and the cheering culture in Korea is so new and fun,” his family adds.
Pedi’s younger brother, Kevin, in particular, has endeared himself to the Changwon baseball fans, thanks to his striking resemblance to his older brother. “I’ve only been in Korea for a short time, but I can feel the love for my brother. I can tell how well he’s doing in NC just by the way he recognises me,” Kevin smiled, “It’s amazing that people in other countries can see the resemblance between me and him.”
Finally, his father, Scott, said, “I am so proud of my son, Pedi. As much as he is loved by the people of Changwon, he has to do better. I hope he continues to pitch well in the future.”
