O’Doherty joined San Diego this season after batting .210 with a .306 on-base percentage and .370 slugging percentage with four home runs and 18 RBIs in 59 games. He has shown decent production against right-handers, with an OPS of 0.705, but has been removed from the postseason picture.
Nola was batting .146 with a .260 on-base percentage and .192 slugging percentage in 52 games this season. Unable to overcome his lacklustre offence, he lost his starting job to Gary Sanchez and was eventually sent down to the minors.
In 33 games this season, Dixon was batting .203 with a .244 on-base percentage, .329 slugging percentage, two home runs and nine RBIs. He played primarily first base and the corner outfield.
Catcher Luis Camposano, who had been sidelined with a finger injury, was recalled from the 60-day disabled list, and outfielder Taylor Callaway was called up to sign a major league contract. In addition, infielder Alfonso Rivas was called up.
Camposano has been sidelined with a finger injury since April 15 against the Milwaukee Brewers. It’s been three months since his return.
Camposano broke into the big leagues in 2020, batting .198 with a .237 on-base percentage and .302 slugging percentage in 35 games over four years. He was once ranked as high as No. 44 on MLB.com’s preseason prospect list for 2022.
Callaway was a 21st round pick in the 2016 draft. After seven seasons and 650 games in the minors, he was called up to the big leagues.
In 78 games with Triple-A El Paso this season, he batted .261 with a .377 on-base percentage, .437 slugging percentage, nine home runs and 49 RBIs.
Rivas has made four big league appearances this season. In 123 games over three years, he batted .248 with a .332 on-base percentage and .325 slugging percentage.
