“It’s a cliché, but I’m really happy” Samsung Life’s first MIP Jo Soo-ah

Jo Sooah (19, 170cm) is now preparing for the playoffs as the main pillar of a decent team.

Yongin Samsung Life Insurance Jo Soo-ah was selected as the MIP for the first round of his career this season. WKBL announced on the 16th that Jo Soo-ah, who received 31 out of 34 votes from the referees and game operators, was selected as the 5th round MIP.

During the 5 rounds, Jo Soo-ah recorded 9.8 points, 6.8 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 1.4 steals for an average of 30 minutes and 44 seconds in 5 games. Jo Soo-ah, who recorded 23 assists in the 5th round alone, made the main guards who left due to injuries forget the vacancy.

Jo Soo-ah said in his first MIP award바카라 impression in his life, “It is a cliché, but personally, I am really happy and it seems to be an award that gives me to work hard. He smiled brightly, saying, “I will do my best for the rest of the game and show you a good performance.”

Entering the 5th round, as he started playing and playing time increased, his performance gained a sense of stability. Regarding this, “The pace of each game was not bad. He personally thought that he had some ups and downs when he played, but in the 5th round, he seemed to have played well without such a bad appearance.”

Jo Soo-ah wore the Samsung Life Insurance uniform in second place overall at the 2020 WKBL Freshman Selection. In his debut season, the 2020-2021 regular season, he recorded 3.9 points, 2.0 rebounds and 3.9 assists for an average of 17 minutes and 15 seconds in 14 appearances. Samsung Life Insurance finished 4th in the regular league with 14 wins and 16 losses, but won the championship with 3 wins and 2 losses against Cheongju KB Stars in the championship match. At the time, Jo Soo-ah was a sixth man.

When asked if there was a difference between playing the playoffs as a rookie and sixth man and playing the playoffs as the team’s main axis, Jo Soo-ah said, “When I was a rookie, I couldn’t play a lot of time in the playoffs or championships, so I didn’t feel it when I won. Now that I lead the game, I feel a lot of responsibility. First of all, the first step is to finish the regular league with good grades by completing round 6 well. In the playoffs, I want to achieve results that go beyond advancing.”

Director Lim Geun-bae also said of Jo Soo-ah, “The technical part has improved, but I think that the psychological state has improved more than that. He seems to have gained self-confidence because he gained experience in starting games despite consecutive losses. He is a player who originally had good passes and shots,” he praised.
